A Business Degree Could Be The Key To Your Future Success

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

An online college degree can be your gateway to your ideal job, a better standard of living and of course more cash. A nursing degree, design degree or a business degree can be just what you want to develop your prospects and get you that job or promotion that you have constantly dreamt about.

The value of a college degree is simple to quantify. Simply put the greater the level of your education the more you are likely to earn every year and over the course of your life. Here are some average figures for earnings levels and education levels in 2008. People with a high school diploma earned $32,000, people with an associate degree $42,000, a bachelor degree $53,000, a master degree $63,000 while individuals who held a doctoral degree earned in excess of $100,000 every year.

Further reasons to complete your campus California degree include the opportunity for professional and personal growth, to stay abreast of the most modern developments and knowledge in your line of work and of course to set a fine paradigm to your family on the subject of the worth of an education.

Of course completing a certificate degree or diplomas degree is not an effortless thing to do especially if you are working full time or are raising a family. This is what makes online degrees so pleasing as they are far more flexible in their attitude to learning and they can adapt to your schedule instead of you having to adapt to theirs. Last year more than 10% of all college students took the majority of or all of their classes online and this total will continue to grow in the future.

Whether you are seeking to complete a criminal justice degree, an education degree, a computer degree or a dental degree there will be an online college to suit your needs and requirements. It is feasible to complete the curriculum at your own pace and the innovative training methods such as streamed lectures and webimars mean that you will feel as if you were in reality on campus. There is of course the same standard of support you would get from lecturers and professors as if you were really on campus and it is feasible to build up great relations with them and your classmates through e-mail and web-cam chats.

It is simple to come across college degrees online whether you are interested in doing an engineering degree, mechanical degree, arts degree, religion degree or even a massage degree. A straightforward search will bring up 1000’s of results from colleges and universities from all around the globe. When you are choosing a college or university with whom to do your online college degrees it is well worth doing some investigation to start with. There are 1000’s of online colleges operating nowadays but fewer than 10% of them are fully accredited with the applicable authorities. Enrolling at a non-accredited college can mean that you end up with a worthless bit of paper following years of study.

A campus Arizona degree or a campus New York degree can be the key to a better life for you and your family and will more than repay the cost in time and effort that it takes to complete.

CLEP Exams Provide Excellent Opportunity for Military Service Members to Earn College Credits

Friday, September 4th, 2009

CLEP, College Level Examination Program, allows students to earn credits by demonstrating college level knowledge on computerized exams. These exams, which are accepted at over 2,900 colleges and universities across the U.S., cover material taught in introductory level and general college courses. Thirty-four different CLEP tests are available in subjects such as business, history, social sciences, science, foreign language, and mathematics. Students who choose to take these tests come from all different backgrounds. Military service members represent one group of individuals who can quickly and affordably further their education using CLEP exams.

Many military personnel dream of one day completing an undergraduate degree; however, due to factors such as job duties or deployment status, military service men and women are often unable to attend a traditional college or university. CLEP tests are an extremely practical and useful tool that military service members can use to earn credits toward their future degree. These men and women can prepare for CLEP tests on their own schedule and take any of the thirty-four different CLEP tests at traditional test centers located on over 1,300 college and university campuses across the U.S. or on military bases located in the U.S. and abroad. In addition, military personnel can take fourteen different CLEP tests at DANTES (Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support) Education Centers. Earning credits using CLEP allows these service members to accelerate their degree completion once their circumstances allow them to enroll in a college or university. Even once they are enrolled in college, military personnel can continue to use CLEP as a way to skip introductory or general education courses, lighten semester course loads, and have more time to devote to work, family, recreational, or community pursuits.

Although CLEP tests each cost $72 to take, DANTES provides funding for eligible military service members and eligible civilian employees to take CLEP tests for free. Active duty and reserve military personnel are eligible for DANTES-funded CLEP exams. Military personnel must provide their current military ID to the test center on the exam day in order to test for free. Although service members can take CLEP tests at no charge, they are still responsible for the small administrative fee, of approximately $15, that is payable to the test center on the exam day. Education Services Officers (ESOs) or Navy College Education Specialist can provide military personnel with additional information about how they can best benefit from CLEP and answer service members’ question about the test process, such as how to best prepare for these exams.

ESOs may suggest a variety of methods for military personnel to prepare for their CLEP tests. While textbooks and study guides may be a good preparation option for deployed service personnel who do not have access to the Internet, online test preparation services often provide distinct advantages for service men and women who have a computer with an Internet connection. Online CLEP exam preparation services, such as www.SpeedyPrep.com, are affordable and effective and allow users to save studying progress, resume prior study sessions, and study at their own pace. These features often work well for the needs of individuals, such as military personnel, who may have unpredictable schedules, little space to store bulky textbooks or study guides, and limited time to devote to studying. Many military service members have experienced success on their CLEP tests after studying using question-based online study systems.

Each qualifying CLEP score helps military personnel get one step closer a valuable college degree. Combining DANTES funded CLEP tests and tuition funds available through the GI Bill, military service members can often earn their college degree at a greatly reduced cost or at no cost at all. Although small in comparison to the selfless service and dedication of the men and women in the U.S. military, these benefits are small ways for the country to express gratitude to military service members.
